DRY

NEEDLING

Also known as Medical Acupuncture, dry needling is a modern therapeutic technique used to relieve muscle pain and improve muscle function. It involves inserting very fine, sterile needles directly into trigger points – tight bands or knots in muscles that can cause pain or restrict movement.

Inserting a needle into a trigger point stimulates the muscle to contract and relax again which releases muscle tightness, increases blood flow and restores mobility whilst reducing inflammation and pain.

Dry needling is based on Western medicine, research and anatomical and physiological principals. It differs from Traditional Chinese Acupunture and does not use the meridian system.

Fenja is trained to use dry needling safely, both as part of a treatment or in a stand-alone session.
